The Beautique

I wanted a modern "Marcell" (1920's finger wave) with a flower pinned in my fine hair for my wedding. Not exactly an easy task to find a stylist (from 2000 miles away) who was comfortable doing that, but Liz Karbula took on the challenge with so much eagerness, she came in on her days off to not only style my hair on the day of the wedding, but also to practice during a time that would fit my busy week. Becky was the other stylist who came in to curl my matron of honor's hair. It was an outdoor wedding & both styles held all night. There are plenty of salons to choose from on Water Street (and I have been to most of them over the years for haircuts), but The Beautique is in my opinion the most established and skilled one that doesn't require hip decor to draw customers in.
