5 card Studs

The Studs were by far the best money we spent on the wedding. They were as professional as you can be in a wig or leather pants and managed to keep a high energy level even though they played for 4 hours. I don't usually dance but they had all of our guests so excited that I couldn't resist. We're still getting compliments for having them 2 months later; we had a huge age range among our guests yet everyone loved the band. We emailed them a week before the wedding (very last minute..) with a long list of songs we hoped to hear and hoped they'd avoid, and they hit every one. I was amazed that they were even willing to play Werewolves of London in late summer... Every request we had was taken care of perfectly, and that's not something all wedding vendors are good at executing.I don't know if they planned it, but their timing was absolutely perfect. They played a long first set and took their break exactly at 10pm, and in Milwaukee on a Saturday night of a festival weekend that meant fireworks over the lake. Since our reception was on the lakefront everyone got to go outside and watch the show while the band took their break, and as the fireworks ended the band started up again. Again, I have no idea if this was intentional, but it made the night even better.They are more expensive than a DJ, but far better. Almost 3 grand is a lot of money, but to have 5 talented guys entertain you for 3-4 hours makes it totally worth it. Like I said before it was the best money we spent and we have absolutely no regrets about hiring them. People waste a lot of money on things that will be forgotten by morning but good entertainment is worth every penny. We're so glad we booked them and can't wait to see them at their next show.
