Brides On A Budget

Laura was meant to be our decorator, but she did so much for us that she was also partially our wedding planner. During the entire process, Laura was unbelievably helpful. She was efficient, on-time, on-topic, and professional. Laura went way above and beyond what our contract stated in order to make sure that our wedding reception was perfect and I could not have been happier. If we (God forbid) were to ever get married again, we would turn to Laura in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for everything you did for us!

Laura is fantastic. I'm pretty sure my wedding would have been a disaster without her. She made everything go so smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day. Laura is extremely well organized. She made a great itinerary and took care of all vendor contacts. It was perfect. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Her prices were also very reasonable.

While I was only the groom's mom, working with Laura for the kids was a really wonderful experience. Trying to put a wedding together with the kids both across the world, was a challenge at best; but Luara made it seem almost flawless. She is professional, knowledgeable and so comfortable to work with. She is flexible as we had lots of little changes/items to be picked up late in the planning. Laura was great to work with. She made planning a wedding overseas manageable. We don't know how we would have pulled off such a beautiful and memorable day without her. My husband and I hired Laura as a day of coordinator for our wedding. I wanted to do the "planning" of the wedding, but wanted someone there to help take stress away from my family and me the day of the wedding.Laura did a fabulous job! She picked up on all of the details I wanted to be executed for my day and made sure they all happened! Her detailed itinerary helped everyone know where to be and when & she did a great job contacting all of the vendors to make sure they would arrive on time, etc.Laura is a great asset to your wedding because she has a low-key personality while still being extremely attentive to detail. I can't say enough wonderful things about Laura from Brides on a Budget! She helped my husband I plan the wedding of our dreams this past June, bringing together the best parts of both the Indian and American cultures. She listened to what we wanted and helped us attain all the resources we needed, providing suggestions and advice along the way. Laura has a knack for pulling all the little details together and she ensured that the entire weekend was stress free. From the initial consultation, we knew we wanted to have Laura from Brides on a Budget plan our wedding – this decision was absolutely the best one we made (other than to get married  ) and it was a true honor to have someone so dedicated and caring plan the wedding. Laura’s number one priority was making sure our actual wedding was identical to the vision we had. She had an energetic and down-to-earth personality that made us feel comfortable with her and confident in her abilities. Laura asked probing and detailed questions to understand what we wanted to achieve, and she balanced this by always providing her tips and insight on modifications to consider, alternative options, back-ups plans, etc. Often we incorporate these ideas, and occasionally we decided to go with our initial choice – in all cases Laura showed initiative and dedication to making sure each detail and task was completed meticulously, from the venue, to the vendor, to the menu, to keeping our drinks full during the reception. She was amazingly flexible in allowing us to get exactly what we needed for our specific planning needs, and we particularly like her proactive approach by which she ensured continuous progress in planning. One of our favorite aspects on the wedding day was that Laura was the central contact for everyone (e.g., vendors, best man/maid of honor) so we didn’t have to deal with anything, unless it was one of the pre-appointed issues we had identified that we wanted to hear about. Our wedding turned out beautifully and unique, filled with amazing and memorable times with our friends and family. There is no way we could have had such a perfect and happy day without Laura, or if we had planned the wedding ourselves, or used another planner.

We would recommend Laura for her professionalism, knowledge, flexibility, value of cost, excellent communication and amazing organization. She was able to act as a mediate between vendors and went above and beyond in creating spreadsheets, budgets, timelines and inventory detail (from cakes to flowers). She has incredible vendor contacts and was a real joy to work with. Her passion for weddings is apparent and her excitement was often contagious. Additionally, she was a wonderful listener. We could go to her with a vague idea and she could help create something wonderful around an abstract idea. Her vision and her professionalism are what put Laura and her company in the top tier of wedding consulting.

Laura was great! From the minute I called her until after the wedding date. She is very professional and prompt! She thought of every detail and was very artistic. She contacted all of the vendors, picked up my flowers, booked my make up artist! There was almost nothing for me to do but, pay the bill:) She made my "special" day that much more enjoyable. She is truely an angel.

From taking care of the smallest details to helping plan the big picture, she had creative ideas, excellent communication, and great resources. We felt so at ease and stress-free knowing she was there for us on our wedding day. For the amount she charged and the services she offered, Laura was an incredible deal. What we found most helpful was her willingness to go beyond the contract. Many wedding planners we considered had very strict guidelines on what they would (and more often, wouldn't) do. Not with Laura. She exceeded our expectations, helping us find interesting detail ideas and offering to converse with our (sometimes difficult) vendors, even though we had only gone with her basic wedding package.For the bride who wants to plan most of the wedding herself, Laura is a perfect wedding planner. She helped supplement our vision with ideas we hadn't considered, and her personal style fits well with the DIY-type wedding. We didn't want the overly formal wedding but something more akin to the unique wedding we were seeing on a variety of wedding blogs, and she seemed able to understand and share our vision.We'd imagine that she'd be great too for brides who are seeking more guidance and help with all stages of the planning process. She impressed us with her knowledge of vendors (suggesting food vendors who are good to work with and good places to find cheap rentals) and would be an invaluable resource (though not a pushy one) for brides who require more help in setting up the wedding.Don't let her unassuming nature deter you. She is a workhorse, willing to help and go beyond the contract, and she approached our wedding with professionalism and a dedication we didn't expect. We found Laura to be well-worth the price and expect that she'd be perfect for any bride, not just those on a budget.
