Jon and Joan were amazing photographers. We were looking for photographers that were fun, professional, and took outstanding pictures. We couldn't have asked for a better team than Jon and Joan. Jon and Joan were routinely responsive to our questions and took the time to sit with us and talk through our day. It was so important to us AND them that they understood what we were looking for and that they were able to put a creative twist on our day. The flexibility they provided to us was OUTSTANDING. They went with the flow of everything and we were so comfortable with them - it wasn't hard to suggest a shot or to ask for a picture with a certain group of people - they were always present, but not in an in your face way. My husband, mom, and mother in law arranged for a special "send off" at the end of the night that was a surprise to me. I had said that Jon and Joan could head home but they were willing to stick around secretively and show up at the send off. As I walked out and saw the sparklers and the horse drawn carriage my first thought was I hope someone is taking pictures and then I saw Joan and Jon and had some tears! I can't thank them enough for being there for that moment. I HIGHLY recommend the team of BellowBlue to anyone looking for amazing photographs, wonderful people, and the best bang for your buck. Jon and Joan are truly talented photographers and we could not have made a better choice for our wedding!

This couple is simply amazing! Talk about dedication to their art. They have such an eye for details and poses. They spent an endless amount of time making sure my fiance and I got every shot we wanted! Their vision and technique was so impressive! And they were genuinely interested in every prop, every outfit change, and every little meaning behind why these things were important to us. Joan and Jon have all the great qualities of a photographer; an artful eye, curiosity for experimenting, personalities to make their clients feel comfortable in front of the camera, and patience for the perfect shot. Their work is brilliant!

I stumbled across BellowBlue while searching the internet for a wedding photographer. I had 5 must haves when looking for a photographer - 1) no set time limit, 2) the option to have my photo files, 3) willing to travel to my tiny hometown in SW WI (there are some winding roads to get there), 4) reasonably priced (I was a bride on a budget), and 5) photos I would love forever! I can honestly say they met all 5 check points and beyond. They were very responsive when answering my many questions. When I met them they were understanding and flexible with what I wanted for photography for our wedding day. They are truly a sweet and friendly couple. It was great doing our engagement shoot with them too because it gave my husband and I a chance to get to know them even more. The wedding day couldn't have gone any better. Jon and Joan were right on-time and got to work. We were even ahead of schedule when doing the family photos! That was a first for me from the many weddings I have been a part of. I also appreciated their “modeling” direction, as my husband and I aren’t the best at posing. You would never know though by looking at our photos. :) I received so many compliments at the wedding about our photographers - "it looks like they took a million shots", "they were so nice", "so professional and organized" - just to name a few. I was absolutely AMAZED when we got our wedding photos back. They were beautiful and again, I received soooo many compliments. It was like reliving the day all over again, which was exactly what I wanted when viewing my photos. My husband and I couldn't be happier with their services. Any chance I have, I rant and rave to newly engaged couples about Jon and Joan. They are wonderful!! I honestly couldn’t be happier! Thank Jon and Joan!

Working with Joan and Jon was great - they were very open to our ideas for our wedding day, and stretched to make it happen. We ran a half-marathon on our wedding day (which ended up being rain delayed) -but John and Jon rolled with it an not only gave up the entire day to shoot our wedding and related festivities, but captured many excellent pre- and post-race photos. In addition to the half-marathon (part of which was photographed in a in a downpour), a large portion of our day was outdoors in a variety of settings and conditions. There was the rain in the morning, but clear bright sky for race finishing and post-race shots at the Wisconsin Union Terrace were excellent. By the mid-afternoon, our outdoor ceremony was skillfully captured with a beautiful partly cloudy but bright and sunny backdrop, followed by style shots all outdoors as it became overcast and rain threatened again. Once indoors for the Reception, Joan and Jon did a good job of skillfully capturing a fast-moving, dynamic, and fun event. Joan and Jon also worked fabulously with our videographer, although they had never worked together before. I was concerned about how this chemistry would work- but it could not have been better.
